Hi all last week my Kj crd was on the fuel light,went to the garage filled with what I thought was best quality derv, drove the jeep about a mile ,no problems
After about an hour I went back would not start left until next day and after a bit of trying started and got home stopped and would not start again did,nt even think it was petrol until I took off the fuel filter unmistakable smell of petrol I've read all the horror stories £1000s etc. but I thought I would pump out the tank
Refill the fuel filter with clean diesel and a bit of cooking oil for lubrication and it started ran a bit rough for a minute then settled down to its usual noisy self,filled the tank with diesel and the remaining cooking oil and it ran perfectly
Tried a long trip ,no problem seem back to normal must be a. Tough old engine.
