You won't regret the Duratracs... I've sold them to many people and they've almost always loved them. They come in a load C for a 245/75

"E" load rating, but my favorite M/T;

Eldorado - SUV-LT

Built here in Arkansas by Cooper. Wears great, low noise, excellent traction, and tough.

We'd sell a 245/75R16 for $145.50 each including mt, bal, & road haz. Maybe not best, but if you run a "E" down pressured the ride ain't too bad either.

Damn some of those no name tires are expensive, let alone not to get into the pricing of name brand tires.

I'm paying $1000 for a set of 5 MT's(315/75R16's and 35x12.50x15's) in name brands(destination MT's and MT/R Kevlar's) and that's with mount/balance(lifetime) and road hazard.

But then again I'm different when it comes to tires,I don't want a 50k or even a 40k tire.If they last more then 20k I don't want them,I value traction over longevity.

My Destination MT's are way to hard,at the rate of wear they will last me 60k+ miles and 20+ years.I have 6k miles on them right now and they still have the "****" on the tire lugs and my KJ weighs over 6000lbs.They are load range E aired to 33psi on 16x10 rims(315/75R16's).They are strictly summer around town street tires for me.For winter/trail use I swap to my 35x12.50x15 MT/R Kevlar's,100 times more traction then the Destinations.

Same goes for my Town Car,I run Bridgestone Ecopia 422's.There a 60k tire but will barely reach 30k but the traction is unbelievable so I don't care about mileage and since they only cost me $300 for a set of 4 with road hazard and lifetime balance package replacing them every 3 years is no issue.

What I do not understand is why the bigger the rim size the more expensive the tires get! Less rubber but maybe it has to do with manufacturing? Canadian Tire has MTR Kevlar's in 35x12.5R15 for $299 but 35x12.5R20 for my Titan are $534.

Cause 20's are the 'cool' thing to go with. Less rubber, more money!

My guess would be they have to pack the same amount of strength into a smaller package?

Is there any decent C Load mud terrains i can fit with a 2.5-3 inch lift?

Wow! Props for asking him about it though. I could understand with a strange tire size or something but 20's are a popular size for full size trucks these days.

Got some old Dodge 15" steelies you can run? 30x9.50R15 is easier to get in a C rating.

That said, been running Goodyear Wrangler Territory (from Canadian Tire) in 245/75R16E for the last couple years. A couple co-workers (an Explorer, and Landcruiser Prado) run them too. Decent tire with traction.

I had Territory's on my old Sierra HD and my Renegade and they are solid beefy tires. No complaints at all and great price when on sale.

Mud terrain is what the thread is about, if i wanted another AT i would have Duratracs already [emoji14], anyways i decided to go with 31 x 10.50

I never considered the Duratrac to be a AT
ATs are street tires, Duratyracs go well beyond that:icon_lol:
