I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport 3.7. I took to the shop about 1 1/2 months ago to get new wheel bearing put on (Mines is loose), the guy said he couldnt do it because the spindle on the car was so rusty that it would cause more problems, so he suggested that i get a different spindle (on thats not rusted) and bring to them and they will replace all of it.

Ok as of now the drivers side has gotten worser..you can hear grinding, ect.

So i went to my Local Pull- a Part to get a nice none rusted Spindle with a good hub, iv'e gotten everything apart but the spindle is still connect to the ball joints which connect to the frame ect. its the only thing i need to take apart!!...What do i need to remove the Spindle from the Balls joints?? Thanks for any help!!!

SN: Can i use same ball joints??

If the bolts are removed, use a BFH and whack the spindle (or knuckle) around the ball joint area a few times. It should pop the ball joint out. Do not use a pickle fork unless replacing the ball joints.

Never heard of a knuckle so rusted that you can't replace the hub. Sounds like an excuse from the shop to me. Many Jersey winters and I could still get the hub off. Albeit it took quite a bit of effort and a lot of PB blaster.

As long as the balljoints are still good you should be able to reuse them. To remove them and not damage them, I loosen the nut until the face of the nut is even with the stud of the joint and use a 3lb.ish hammer to hit the nut to knock the joints loose.

Obviously not me or mine, but this may help also:
