The KJ Door trim panel line is over. 2008 contract was not received and the company will only make service doors for the Liberty 2007 and below. I spoke to the manager and got a whole new set of doors for the Jeep, but this time I got it with Chrome accents (Handle, switch accent, lock knob). The old doors came of really easy but some of the clips were stuck in the door frame. I had to pry those off. The new doors had all new clips on them. Took about 45 minutes to get it all done while taking my time. I also sprayed some Megs Interior Finish spray on them to shine them up.

Look nice, I wouldn't mind having a set, along with the silver shifter surround area I've seen on limiteds. How much did they run you?

free. I work in the plant that builds them. I finally convinced the manager to build me a set when they were building out a few service requests from dealerships.

Wow, those are nice.

You should pay him to run a dozen sets off and sell them. Put a seperate post up and see how many here would want them. Mine look just like that except for the color.

Hmm. Maybe I could ask about it. They have had the lines shut down for over a week now but I will find out if they are actually going to continue to build service. Service doors are for dealerships or body shops that require a new door trim panel. They built out a ton of doors in mass quantity over the last couple months so I was fortunate to get my doors when they were building out the 2004 model year doors. They do build out a few hundred sets and store them but I will find out if those are tracked or just mass produced. The manager is off on vaca so it may not be till next week before I can find the answer.

you couldn't just get a set of those chrome accents in a parcel to Barcelona, now could you?:D

The chrome accents need to be welded on since its the entire trim piece around the switches and the handle housing itself. So unfortunately no. :(

So did you have the same color before and just want the chrome?

Ive always liked the black interior..

Ohh, see that it has the little chrome ring around the door lock. My 2004 does not have that. They stopped doing that after 03..

Door handles

The door handles, door lock trim and are available as a kit from the dealer. Jparts has them for $145.94 Includes 10 pieces, I guess 4 door handles, 4 lock trim, radio and steering wheel trim. Or maybe it includes the shifter and radio trim instead of the steering wheel pieces, not sure. I guess that's them, says install with 3M tape, but it's a Mopar part.

The silver radio bezel came as part of my RME group. I bought the silver shifter trim on eBay and had to stop using it because it reflected the sun directly into my eyes.

The parts on my door are actual molded parts. No 3M at all. They weld into the door for the switchplate and handle housing. However, the kit looks like a great alternative for someone who is willing to try it on theirs.

M-Guy......Those look awsome installed in your Jeep in the pic. I really like the black. I think it makes the chrome door handles and trim stand out better. Mine are the same but 2-tone beige and brown.

Sun

I'm glad I thought about the sun before heading out west. I drove from Bristol, Va to Albuquerque, NM on I-81 & I-40. 40 runs due west, so the sun was in my face all afternoon. It'll be in my face all moring on the way home.
