new to site

hey whats goin on everyone i just found this site and thought i would join up. i just recently bought a 03 lib freedom edition with 25k for 14500.. ive owned two 98 and 01 cherrokee's before and loved them. Some questions,, does anyone have any problems with the 03's and does anyone tow with them i need this to tow a two place snowmobile trailer and i was wondering if the power is adequate. ive owned a dakota with the 3.7 magnum and the power fell way short when towing alot of downshifting and redlining. thanks Dan

Welcome Dan. I don't know where you are or what kind of terrain you'lll be towing thru but I have towed a loaded 8x12 trailer with little problem. It didn't go uphill very fast but it did make it, and on the straight and level it just kinda cruised right along. My mileage took a hit but with two snowmobiles you shouldn't do too bad. When you get a chance post up a pic of your new ride. Oh, since I didn't say it at the beginning I have an '03 with the 3.7L and auto.

I've towed my two Polaris quads behind it before. It was surprisingly stable on the highway as long as I didnt go over 65. I would recommend trailer brakes though. As far as power, its gotten me up to speed on the highway and through some pretty deep sand towing with no drama involved. I've never made it go over 4000 rpms towing.

thanks guys yea i am very pleased with the jeep just wasent sure on towing capabilitys.. the dealer told me it would tow no problem but its not the same as hearing it from people who use it and abuse it.. thanks again ill get some pics up soon when i get my light bar on and new tires thanks again Dan
