Anyone running them, Ran them, used to run them, hate them, love them
Comments
JBA priced me out a set of 265-70-16s today, not bad price
Just curious
Ya know how I love my Duratracs but since they wore so long, so many others have them now, gotta move on I think

Tom, I've sold them off and on for several years (off when my distributor gets too proud of them) and have almost entirely great feedback. They're tough, quiet, and wear very well. Only complaints I can recall were two different customers using them on 2500 Ram's with diesel engine. Both lots of stop and go on gravel roads, starting those heavy beasts moving would spin the tread off rear tires in very short mileage.

Bob

I would recommend them for any Jeep application, other than mud buggy.

Thanks Bob
Never ran any of them, Goodyear, Firestone , BFG, Denman, Ground Hawgs, and a lot of the older brands :icon_lol:
03 Green is going to be mainly a roadie with limited of road duties so wanting something different. Like I said JBA gave me a good price on 5 ( once I rob a bank for some coin) :happy175:

I've had a lot of experience with them. Although you'll probably be getting the G2 variant. I've had two sets on the LR3 and two sets on the KJ. I love them. Extremely quiet I think, ride nice, great snow and ice traction. Mud, they're ok for an AT. They do fine in rocks. They last about 40k, 45k for the KJ probably. LR3 weighs almost 6k so it goes through tires a bit faster. Definitely will buy again, the WK will probably get a set when the stockers wear out.

That's kinda low mileage for the price you pay for them, in my opinion.

My Hankooks lasted 70k and still had a bit of "street meat" left on them (I wouldn't have wheeled them but they were fine for tarmac wet and dry).

It's because they are a pretty soft compound. I'll sacrifice mileage and mpg any time for a better performing tire (as long as I don't need tires every oil change)

My Duratracs have over 90,000 on them with between 5 and 6/32s of tread left yet. So they did great, best tire I have ran for a long time
BUT
got to find something different and I just can't get used to having a tire with kook in the name :icon_lol:

This set I'm going to try a 5 tire rotation and see if that gives a bit more mileage.

No matter how I pronounce it, in my head it always "hand ****"! You can let your imagination run wild with Kumho.

^^ Nights get long in Arkansas, eh?

Uuumm, not particularly. More boredom. Parts store comedians usually start it by making fun of car names.. I.E. Pontiac Grand prick, Mercury Grand Mommie,Mercury Mistake,(do i need to elaborate on Fords Focus)

Couple of guys i've known have had either the:
Trail grapplers
Trail Grappler Mud Terrain Light Truck Tire

Mud grappler extreme
Mud Grappler Extreme Mud Terrain Light Truck Tire

Neither are available in 265 70 16 as i presume thats what your looking for low down green.

Anyway, I've seen both of the above chunk pretty good on gravel. What that means for the terra grapplers is open to interpretation. They look good and looks like it will handle snow infinitely better then above.
