will you need to pull your door panle off and see if there a brake in wire if that is just fix it if not than your are coils are bad in you speaker or a break of a litty copper wire on the coils and then you will have to get new speakers

Will have to get it Mopar. Only they have this odd amp. I would just dump the whole thing and go aftermarket, will cost much less. Unless you can spot a used set on ebay or classifieds from someone who swapped.

Wait. So there was already aftermarket speakers in the Jeep? Unless the previous owner added an aftermarket amp, then, as far as I know, your system is not amplified at all.

yeah.. what aftermarket amp are you talking about? You mean you want to remove the stock amps? That's not clear.
Otherwise, head over and get new set of amps, speakers.

yea the speakers are the infinity references, and they were hooked up to the stock amps in the doors. the drivers side blew out, so im just curious what aftermarket amp would be good for these speakers. can you bypass the amps and still get sound off the stock head unit?

just wanted end this thread with a resolution...

The PO, obviously had very few brain cells. I say this because there was lamp cord ran to each door, EXCEPT one. 1 amp was shot, one speaker was shot, and one was hooked up (sort of) correctly.

resolution was...

Bought and installed infinity kappa's and a decent panasonic head unit (good bye steering wheel controls :( ). than i bypassed the stock amps the CORRECT way. With everything said and done, i must say it sounds amazing, especially with the dash mount tweeters!

thanks for all the help, sorry for all the confusion! im happy i have a nice clean system, that i can depend on and enjoy now!
