UH OH!!! Just took the Libby down to work for a couple minutes, and when I was leaving the parkinglot.......low growling shudder noise/feeling when I accelerated. This is the first time I have heard that noise.:(

My rig has about 47,000 miles on it. Any thoughts on what it might be?

It almost felt like the ****** (dunno) help!.gif

Did it go away when you let up on the gas? Did it go away after a certain speed? If yes, then it's probably the drive shaft.

Were you in FT4WD? If you were, It could be the front drive shaft, if not it's the rear.

Did it happen while turning only? Then check the CV joints.

In 2 wd just as I turned out on the street. Hard acceleration in a straight line. Let off and it went away. Felt like it was coming thru the trans. Hit it again and the same thing noise vibration thru driveline for sure.

Best word to describe it was a "chattering" .

I posted about the same problem with my 05 Liberty, mine has the shudder and a clicking noise. I was told U-Joints also, I have no problem replacing U-Joints, but I can't find them at the local autopart stores.

Took it for a drive last nite and no noise vibration at all....???????

Is it possible that you could have had a chunk of ice stuck on the drive shaft throwing it out of balance? Maybe it has melted off?kopkrab.gif

Maybe, but it felt alot like the ****** for me. Sounded and felt like a band slipping on acceleration. Hope not, but mister Dealer will have to pony up for this oneif it is.

I think that our transmissions are all gears, with no bands. your symptoms are textbook drive shaft issues.
