anyone know what would cause this leak

at the first angle I thought was from your oil from filter getting on the front diff.

other angle looks to be some sort of engine cover/crank seal oil leakage.

I'd be most concerned of the oil pan, if that bursts open and you don't notice it quickly it will cause the most damage compared to what's currently leaking.
