I am currently running the Daystar spacer lift on my 04 KJ. I am replacing it with OME 927's and Rancho 17505's. What kind of lift should I get, if any? I was thinking about sticking the Rusty's .75" spacer in there if I wasn't going to clear my 31" tires. Any suggestions?

Don't need the Crustys spacer at all, toss it
927s will give you about 2.25 to 2.5 then you can do a clevis lift for an additional 3/4 inch if you need more do a 1/4 inch top plate
all depends on what you want
I was clearing 32s with clevis, top plate and 100,000 miles on the springs so 31s is no problem at all

You'll be amazed how much better it rides after you up grade !!!!

x2, went from Daystar to OME a couple of months back and have noticed a definite improvement in ride quality. Also did the clevis lift (very simple to do while you're installing the springs) and have at least as much clearance as when I had the Daystar, probably more since the springs on the Daystar lift were sagging quite a bit. I went with the RS-5000s since the RSXs were hard to locate, haven't noticed any difference between the two.

So let me get this straight...the Do-it yourself Frankie includes:
Daystart top plate
OME927
17505's
3/4" spacer (the only one i can find is from RUSTY)

Or I can get similar lift with:
Stock top plate
OME 927
17505's
Clevis rings

Did I get this right?

And I think a spacer on the stock top plate

Don't need the top plate, clevis lift will give you quite a bit of lift I ran that way for almost 80,000 miles and no problems, springs started to sag and on went a 3/8 inch top plate and was back up to 22.5 inches ;)

what kinda bushings did you use for the top of the rancho struts? I'm not so sure I had bushings when I put on my daystar lift, but I keep seeing these rubber bushings with the new lifts. Any idea where and what I need to order to get them?

well i need a top plate no matter what. i dont have the stock plates anymore...got lost in the move.

THESE ARE THE COMPONENTS I HAVE:
OME 927
RANCHO 17505
DAYSTAR TOP PLATE
.75 POLY SPACER

from what Ive read, the .75" is enough to pre-load the springs. other than that I think I have everything I need....

Any advice, add-ons, or missing items?

What are you going to do with the spacer? I hope you are not thinking about adding that to the coilover with stock UCA's?

please enlighten me....

i have been asking specific questions about this for over a month now and no one has warned against it.

I was even given a thread to LOST where it showed this set up as a valid lift install.

Why would i need new UCA's? the Frankenlift does not require new UCA's
