Just bought my OME 927's to replace my stock/daystar lift. I am going to pair them up with a set of Rancho 17505's. Does anyone suggest stuffing a Rusty's OffRoad .75" coil spacer under the OME's up front? It is basically the same as the Frankenlift from what I can gather.

i already have the daystar top plates from the 2.5" lift. But it would be nice to see if someone tried this method of duplicating the "frankie." its about $200 cheaper to do it this way, if it works.

get just as much height from 927s, a top plate and a clevis without adding the other stuff, thats all I have and sitting at 22.75 inches middle of wheel to bottom of flare
stock 18 inches so basically a 4 3/4 inch lift ;)

Everyone seems to pair the OME springs with Rancho shocks. Just curious are the OME shocks not that good? I was going to get the OME package, springs and shocks. $750 for the package.

OME Shocks are OK but seem a little weaker/ softer compared to the Ranchos,
I have a rear set of OME shocks that I ran for a short time and they were softer than the 100,000 mile Ranchos on mine , removed them and went back to the ranchos, just like them better, all in what you want out of a ride

I researched lift kits from December 2nd. 2006 until last April when I
finally bought a Frankenlift with Rancho shocks.
Some folks have tried and tested both Old Man Emu shocks and Rancho
shocks.
The general consensus is that the Rancho shocks offer a firmer/stiffer
ride.
Based on the experience of these folks, I decided I wanted to try the
Rancho shocks in my Frankenlift.
The ride is ride quality and handling on both paved surfaces and off road
is excellent!
I wouldn't want anything softer.
As far as quality concerned?
I'm sure the OME shocks are excellent, they just offer softer damping
properties.

X2 for what Reverend Tom and Ryan09 said. the Ranchos are firm but compliant. I tried them on a light off road trip and they are so much better than stock but I can't compare them to OME's.
