OME 948 & 132L to JBA 4 rear - Yes / No ?

Hi,

I have at the rear OME 948 and 132 L with 2 extra upper isolators each side and I have also fitted JBA Y link extender.
I still feel that the rear end of the KJ is very soft and that on corners it tends to wobble like the shocks feel to soft or are not stating to engage as they might be too sort. I have had them on now for about 70K miles and most of the time I don't carry any weight in the KJ expect for the winch that sits in the book.

I was thinking to stop that to move to JBA 4in rear shocks and Coils taking out the two extra isolators at the back.
Would that work and stop the wobble?
Do I need the hole kit or do I need just new shocks at the back possibly longer than the OME 132L?

Currently sitting at 22 in at the back.

What are you running for shocks?

My rear shocks are as above Old Man Emu 132 L (the extra long ones).

All I am after is do I need to change the hole set up or just get longer rear shocks so that when I turn at speed I don't have that uncomfortable feeling before the shocks start working.

Rear is going to be higher than the front by quite a bit
you now have about maybe 3-3.25 inches of lift, going up another 3/4 to an inch is quite a bit

I get your point, not that I would mind too much the rear being higher, what about changing the OME 132L for some longer shock, I have been told Iron Man or Bilstein are longer than OME 132L? I just get the impression that with my set up the shocks are to short and not working proparly and therefore I get this sort of first lean in that is quick and then it stops as the shocks start working, would that resolve the problem?

One last thing, does anyone know the actual length of Ironman Long 4 in versus the OME N132L? Every one says that Ironman is longer but by how much? Also anyone that has fitted both could you please advise which was best? Photos would be nice too.

The Ironman are just a bit longer than the 132Ls and Bilstien ( same length as the OME 132Ls )

Have ran both on mine , not much difference as far as ride and handling goes. Ironman are about 1/2 inch longer , I have a picture somewhere will try and find, also I think there is a picture on JBA as well

Please do Tom, I think that 1/2 inch might make the difference when cornering at speed so to avoid that over leaning in the corners.

Good luck. The 948 are 200 spring rate and the JBA are 150. So the OME are stiffer for sure. My JBA springs were super soft. I got some custom made rear springs for my KJ, a few more of the guys have them and we all love them.
