Even though before I installed the 948's in rear I gave them a quick extra spray.
Years later they are starting to rust. Today I wish I would have really laid some paint on them then before install.
I suppose I should consider removing them and sand/repaint in the "Spring" :icon_lol:

Flash on my fone tends to bleach out the pics more, daylight shows better detail. Don't they use salt up dare in the winter?

Last big salt laying around the west coast was back in 2008.
We got lucky last while here, have had very little salted roads since 08. Mild winters here.
I hope this upcoming winter is the same. I hate wet salted roads and power washing the Jeep afterwards, often, like in 08.

They're salt happy here, and part of it is political. If the towns & townships don't use a lot of salt during one winter, their salt budget gets cut back for the next winter. That could cause a supply shortfall if the following winter is worse than the previous one. So, they salt with the slightest downfall to make sure they use it. Our roads stay pretty much white for the winter.

Salt Happy not good! I will admit to get into the mountains and passes, my Jeep will experience salted conditions. Then they often leave the roads packed! Now we are talking!
4x4 engage! and I love the pure silent experience with no tire noise..sweet!
Once back in town in warmer rain/etc conditions I power wash the Heep under & all over.

Our roads are the same - white salt and that bloody white dust when it dries :favorites68:

With the number of quarters I put into the local self-serve wash each winter I'm sure I've funded trips to Florida for its the owner. :emotions34:
