I might. I was gonna have the dealer rotate it in last oil change and the dude looked at me and one eye popped out of his head. He was like "Why?".

Anyway I didn't after I found out they wanted more money for it than the oil change, like 28 bucks or something, for a rotation.

I guess it might be best to just leave it be; however, God forbid you blow a tire, when you swap the spare its not going to be even all the way around your vehicle. Its like buying one new wheel after youve got 30k on the rest. Its probably not too bad but just seems weird.

Maybe someone can come up with a good spare rotation diagram.

Ultimately its probably best to use what you bought, rather than just letting it rot on the back of your jeep.

Anyone know the shelf life of an exposed spare?

I had my first tire rotation done at the dealership. I asked the service guy could he go ahead and do it since they were changing my oil and replacing my anti-sway bar bushings. He's like "Yeah, it'll be $22.95." I'm like, great. I then grew to hate the Goodyear tires so I just skipped the next rotation at 12k.

So I have these new tires and I'm using the rotation diagram in the manual.

I rotate all five, because it is easier to only jack up one corner at a time since I can't find my jack stands lol

I do a five-tire as well... although I have stopped doing so on my stock tires as I'm hoping to get Revos on my KJ sometime this year (need the cash!).

Anyway... I go by this (for a rear wheel drive 4x4)...

I had a 4 tire rotation done and then a couple of days later I was off road and got a fast leak from a sharp rock on my left rear so I put the spare on........so 4 + 1 = a 5 tire rotation...........the hard way..

So back to the question......4 or 5 tire rotation is fine. Whatever you feel comfortable with. I once did 4 tire rotations and when I replaced the tires I bought the same brand and size and only bought 3 and used the new never rotated spare as the 4th tire and took the best of the old ones and used that for a spare..............

With the KJ I'm leaning toward Revos and will buy 5 so at this point it does not matter to me.

Depends on what you're planning on doing.
