From what I have read (no experience) the Bilstein HD (blue/yellow) are a good bet.

SHOX site seemed to have good prices. Only thing is they sell as a package with front/rear. If you want extended rears, you'd probably have to contact them and see what they could do.

This was going to be my next step if I couldn't get the Ranchos.

By the way, Jegs may still have the Rancho RSX's.

Before i do this will they work with OME HD coils up front? Im building a OME lift. I already have Rancho rear shocks so i just need front struts.

Hey I wanted to post for everybody, I think your local NAPA may still be able to order the Rancho RSX 17505's. I talked to my local NAPA today in Cedar Rapids, IA and they had 39 of them warehoused in Alabama (I think that was where he said). He was able to sell them to me for $110 each, although I will have to pay a $20 freight charge once they arrive on Friday.

On a side note, he said that these were struts and not shocks, does that sound correct? I was reading through the Lift FAQ and they are referred to as shocks. I think the model number is the most important...

Hopefully I did not make a noob mistake and order struts when they should have been shocks :(...

Just ordered a pair of 17004's from JEG's as well, so I'm getting there :).

Right - People refer to them (incorrectly, I might add) as struts because they resemble struts - they are an assembly with the spring integrated with the strut. They are nothing more than a coilover shock setup. The KJ has an UCA and LCA, therefore, they are not a true Strut.

You're fine - as long as you ordered 17505, you're good to go.

I think they are out of stock, but it's worth a phone call to check.

By the way, Jegs will price match them ;)

Small follow-up, I picked up my RSX 17505's from NAPA yesterday so they may still have some in stock...

Came with Shock, Black Sleeve, Nut and Sticker :).

Bilstein HD works great with OME, I just changed from the NAPA Brand ( AKA- Monrose). I have OME 790's a bit stiff in the front but so far they have been wearing in, the ride is getting softer. But I like the stiffer ride, will add a metal home made bumper soon and a winch. Got my set of Bilstein from Summit Racing.:rockit:
