My rear defrost won't turn off even when the car is shut off and drains the battery. I ended up pulling the fuse but it is the same one as the reverse lights use. What has me hung up is that even when the Jeep is shut off the the switch still has power. When the rear defrost is working as it should you can't turn it on without the truck running. Any ideas?

By 'still has power', I'm assuming you actually see the little yellow light on the switch? The only thing I can think of that would continue to deliver power to an accessory that's directly tied to the ignition switch is either a bad ignition switch or a bad relay.

However, something else interesting, I wonder why it drains the battery. If you look at the manual, the rear defroster is only supposed to run for 10 minutes, then it automatically turns off. So I'm wondering why it won't turn off after ten minutes? I'd start looking at a relay...
