Hi Guys.
Looking for advice. Originally installed Daystar 2.5 lift on 06 Liberty Sport 2 1/2 years ago. Not seriously offroading but needed clearance for some nasty trails when doing some serious fishing. Bashed front diff a couple of times. Suspension is starting to go after 150 km. and time to replace with real deal. Did the job for the last couple of years but now its time to replace with a true suspension lift. looking for approx. same lift running 245 75 R16. When I was last paying attention it seemed like a Frankenlift might be the way to go but it appears that more people have put there mind to it and more is available today. any advice is greatly appreciated, especially detailed as to springs, shocks, struts etc.
Thanks in advance.

You have the Frankenlift
also the Ironman and OME full spring and shock lifts from jeepinbyal
then the Econo lift which has everything needed except for bumpstops also from jeepinbyal
then the ultimate the adjustable coilover lift in 2.5-4 and 6 inch from jeepinbyal
Depends on how much lift you want, what kind of ride and how deep your pockets are
All will be a huge improvement over the Daystar

Exactly what Tom said. If you give us a desired height and some kind of preferred budget. We can then help you out with combinations needed to get that desired height, along with what will perform, handle and ride best.

apologies

Tom and bmxr,
Thanks for the prompt response. My apologies for taking so long to acknowledge. I am afraid I had a serious family situation that has taken all my time and energy for the last few days.
As to my plan. I figured on a budget of app. $1000.00 and was going to replace in 2 steps. Rear now and front in a couple of months. Looking to keep same lift ht. and rake. Front is lifted 2 1/2 in. and rear 2 in.. 1/2 inch higher would be ok but no lower. I tow a trailer quite often if this makes a difference. For now a suggestion on rear springs and shocks would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Ramsay

You should be able to do a full spring/shock package for $1000 even being in Canada.

I can't remember the name of the Canadian distributor for OME kits but I believe the prices were comparable to U.S. prices - no extra duties since the products don't have to be shipped over the U.S. border. Luke, LibertyTC, Cardhu or another fellow Canadian I'm sure will help.

As far as the lift height you're looking for... The OME lift will get you 2.5" just with the springs. But to run the 245's comfortably I'd add at least a top plate in the front and one extra upper isolator in the rear to avoid rubbing. Your ride will be DRAMATICALLY improved with the OME lift.

EDIT: I think there's a distributor for Ironman products from Australia now operating in Canada too. I don't think JBA is the exclusive North American distributor anymore. Can anyone confirm?
