2007 Jeep Liberty, I had to replace the wiring / connectors for the MAP and the coolant temp sensor. I had to remove the serpentine belt and move the alternator to replace map sensor. All seemed well at first but now the car is hard to start takes 3 to 4 cranks to start and I had a slight squeaking noise when turning steering wheel before I did the map sensor but now the squeaking noise is very loud. The serpentine belt is tight with no pull to it but I can twist the belt. Power steering fluid is fine and the car runs fine, can the serpentine belt be to tight ? Can I adjust the tension on belt ? Thanks

The Mopar tensioner assembly automatically adjusts the belt. Check belt alignment and look for wear on outer edges.
I would try a new EPDM serpentine belt.
You may need a new tensioner ?

Thanks for your reply, I read that the belt automatically adjusts and the belt looks fine and so does the alignment. The belt does twist almost 90 degrees and I checked all of the pulleys and none are loose. Thanks again !
