The Rancho struts weren't designed for a lifted KJ in mind, they just happen to be the right for the job. You'll notice the Rancho rears don't work on a lifted rig, you have to change to a Durango shock for that to get the right length. Common sense and reverse thinking/perferencing of the catalogs can sometimes answer your questions.

Yea, the 17004 shocks are not really for a stock liberty. Reason being is they do not compress as much so you would need extended bumpstops. Extended bumpstops on a stock liberty would bottom out on almost every bump.

*Edited since I was wrong*

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
The Rancho's(1750's) are a direct replacement for a unlifted KJ,they are not ment for a lifted KJ but work.Durango front shocks(they do not use struts) will not work on a KJ,and use the Rancho rear shocks ment for the KJ if your not lifted, only get the rear Durango shocks if you are lifted 2 1/2".

Right, you need the Rancho front struts # RSX 17505 and 1750 rear shocks since you are stock.

I was thinking about the Rancho rear shocks RSX 17004. Thats what people use for a lifted liberty and they are from the rear of a Durango.
