shopping again and not happy

We have an '02 that we got about four months ago and love it so much I want another one but none of them are in as good condition. Ours is a 2.4L 4x4 manual.

Today I looked at an '02 with the v6 and manual. It seems to me that some people just don't take care of their cars. This thing whined like a school bus, vents were broken, climate controls knobs broken, lots of play in the drive train. It is like every other one around here and the dealer wants $6995 for the 4wd with 144k miles.

This week I hope to look a one equipped like ours listed for 5900 with 113k miles. Has anyone noticed the 4 cylinders are better cared for or is it just my luck? p:

My '04 3.7L V6 4x4 was in great shape when I bought it. I got it for 8,600 almost 3 years ago now.

It all depends on the individual vehicle.
I've seen high mielage KJ's that the owner are asking far too much for and then on the same page of a buy and sell paper there is a cherry low mielage 3.7 litre going for a song!
You just need to look carefully at each individual Liberty and assess the vehicle for what it is!
Best to take a vehicle you are interested in and spend the $100.00+ and have a Triple A certified accredited garage look over the vehicle carefully and let the AAA garage provide you with a comprehensive vehicle report.
Then you know where you stand with the vehicle you you are looking at.

I second what Ryan said. I got lucky on my 06. It only had 21K miles on it and I paid 11K for it 3 years ago.
