I have a 03 Liberty 3.7 Auto.. If I let it sit for more than a day with out driving it, the next day when I go to start it it wont do anything. There is power it wont crank nothing just acts dead. Now if I hold the key in the start position it will finally start to crank but wont fire up unless I give it gas. Onces it is started I have to keep my foot on the gas for about 2 minutes until it runs on its own. The only time it does this is when it sits for more than a day. After it is running and I drive it everyday it works perfect. Does anybody know what could cause it or what the problem it. I have arun a diagnostic check on it to and it was clean..

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Sounds like a bad ignition switch or a short in that area somewhere.A bad pump or filter won't cause it to not want to crank,so it's not that. It's not throwing codes,so it's not the PCM/BCM.Might want to check all the fuses in the under hood fuse box and make sure they aren't corroded and also check the relays to.Some corrision will make for only interminted contact and could cause they same problems.Just my thoughts.

X2 on all points. Sounds more like a short in the ignition switch/system to me, rather than a bad switch....but I still wouldn't rule it out.
