Stock radio blows fuse

2008 Liberty Sport 3.7 4x4

Grrrrr stock cd 6 spkr radio blew the fuse. Turned on car. Turned on radio, 1 second later the fuse blew.

Have to go buy a new 30 amp fuse tomorrow...... no idea if it will blow again.


Is this a common problem with Libby's?

Well maybe if you didn't turn your volume up so dang high...

Could just be a fluke. Replace it, if it blows again you know you have a problem and you're only out $0.15.

Weird situation..... fuse was NOT blown. In the darkness I *thought* it was blown.
So now I am really perplexed..... engine running and I start playing with the buttons along the top of the radio.... the one's that are for an integrated handsfree radio etc etc. I pressed all of them very fast.... all of a sudden the radio lights up and comes back to life.

Oh so your radio was just off. If you push in the volume control it will do that.
