swap front and rear speaker

after detaching the amp/xovers from the stock front speakers, can I replace it with another one from rear? I think I blew my driver side door woofer/speaker. :(

If you remove the xover you will need to jumper the in/out wires to the rear doors as they are all in the xover connector.

The pin numbers are not correct in the chart below but the colors are.

Take the rear inputs and tie them to the outputs, other wise you'll have to run new wires to them.

Like so:

You can also tie the dash speakers to the door speakers but the impedance will drop under 2 ohms as the dash speakers are 3 ohms and the doors are 4 ohms. This will make the front louder than the rear.

Thanks, this method will work for putting in new speakers that will be powered by HU alone. I am not going to do that, I would need to put the stock amps back on, and just leave rear wiring as it is. I won't need speakers in the back if I can swap them.

Ahh, gotcha.

Keep in mind the rear speakers have weird connector too, like so:
