Here's a question for those of you that use chains...
Our KJ has 31" tires fitted and we'd like to get two pair of chains for it.
But we want to go up to 32" tires next time it's time to buy new tires.
Do tire chains have enough room/space available in their design to accommodate a 31-32" tall tire or are we looking at having to replace chains when we go to a 32" tall tire?

All the tire chains I have ever used are for one certain size tire. To fit properly they must fit tight so would be hard to make them fit various size tires.
You maybe able to ask some of the places that sell chains they maybe different than the ones I used back 20-30 years ago.

Cool
chains do a fantastic job if they fit right and are in good shape.
But when they come apart LOOK OUT!
My Step father was great about getting hung up and then just hammer down until the links broke and started slapping the sides of the old Ford

Tire chains are designed for specific sizes. The improvement in traction is truly noticable. Excellent for snow-ice conditions. I would usually just run them on the front tires.
