i have bigger than stock tires and they seem to need more than 33-35 pounds of pressure. is that normal? if so how can i find the reccomended pressure for those tires?

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Recommended tire pressure should be right on the side wall of your tires.
Nope, that's the max PSI the tires can handle at there max weight capicity,it is not the recommended PSI to run.245/75 MT/R's have a max of 80psi,that's one rough ride in a KJ at 80psi,38psi is the best psi for that size on a KJ.

It depends on the tires, when I'm running 265/75 MT/R's(load range "D") they where best at 38psi,now with Trxus MT's(load range "D") they are best at 42psi,both have a max PSI of 65.

Start with about 36psi and go from there or you can use the chaulk test.Make a nice heavy line with chaulk on the pavement, roll over it and ajust the psi until you get a even transfer on the tire.

After all these years playing and trying to find the best PSI this chalk test fixes it all! LOL Thank you!!
