Help!!

I installed a 2" Daystar lift on my 2006 Jeep Liberty a few weeks ago. I also put wheels and tires on (255/75/17) with 1.25" wheel spacers and did all new shocks and struts.

I got an alignment immediately following the lift install. However, when driving 30mph+ around corners (in canyons and merging on the highway) the traction control sensor goes off and I have to slow down to get it to shut off and regain steering.

How do i fix this? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a loose wire connection. You pulled them 2 inches with the lift. Then when you take a corner your flexing the suspension and pulling on the connection even more.

Sadly there no fix but to remove the lift.

To much body lean is causing it from being lifted.

Right after I lifted mine with the daystar kit I had this same problem before I had it aligned. After I got an alignment done the traction control light went away and I no longer had that problem.

By this do you mean that the jeep is leaning to much to one side and that is what is causing this?

Worn suspension amplified by added height causing havoc with the gyro for the ESP.

The worn out springs along with the added height of the Daystar now has the KJ now leaning over more in turns etc. Unlike new springs which would not allow the body to lean as much.
Full spring lift and good front suspension ( ball joints , bushings etc ) you won't find this issue since it would not lean as much in turns.

jharris, your springs may not have been as worn out as the OP,
others have had this with full spring lifts even when they had received a bad alignment or never had an alignment done yet
but afterwards all was OK

Just in case anybody is wondering if their Liberty could do the same thing, know that stability control (what's being reefered to above) is a 2006 and newer feature.

its for sure that the alignment is wrong.. try to find an allignment shop that uses Hawkeye allignment machine.. they are very accurate.. mine was 3inch lift from rough country.. tire size is 265/70/16.. no issues at all after allignment even on sharp turns

generally speaking when people can't align a KJ, accuracy isn't whats holding them back.

It usually ends with **** it close enough / caster won't work so the rest don't matter either.
