I got a oil change today ........ DAMMIT!! I Should have done it myself!!

Sorry I just realized that. Anyway the service tech said I should change out my transmission filter. I got a trans flush about 35K ago. He wants to charge me $80.00 to change the filter. Is this something I can do easily without dropping the pan?

You have to drop the pan to change those. I've never done it on a KJ but I did it on my old Explorer and it's not a whole lot of fun, but it's not hard, just messy. I'd imagine it's really similar to change on a KJ.

Drop pan.. The filter is above the pan so it must come out. around 4 quarts of oil will be sitting in the pan waiting to say 'howdy' when you drop the pan.. :)
