I did add a drain to the pan. i always do. maybe if the factory added a $1.15 drain to the pans on every automatic they built, people might change the fluid/filter like they should. and no, i doubt there is a drain on the converter. but i really don't know. i couldn't see a way to access the converter. the older automatic's had a stamped steel access panel so you could at least tighten the torque converter bolts if they worked loose. but this appears like there is no access at all, which makes me wonder how they put these together at the factory. i have however, been accused of being blind before, so maybe i just missed it someplace. anyway, it took me 3 days (6-9 hours each day) to change all of the driveline fluids. getting old and broken up makes this stuff challenging to say the least. i took it around the block to make sure it still works, but the test drive will have to wait till tomorrow.
