I have decided that I would like to make my Jeep completely black. Everything from windows to tires, nothing but darkness. My 04 is Black on Black as it sits, but I do not want to add things that are black just for the sake of them beings black.

Im looking for ideas/parts/items to add to the Jeep so I turn to everyone here because...we're all experts :D idea.gif

Im actually pretty relieved that you guys said things like vent visors, smoked parking lights....those are the first things that I put on the Jeep. Next two things are 1) Matching the tint thats on the rear windows to the front windows and 2) the smoked tail lights.

The de-badging part...Ill be workin' on that this weekend.

Thanks for everything tomm, corwyyn, jeepjeep and tony. Keep the ideas coming if anythings clicks. Like I said... I turned to the experts :)

No worries, the smoked corners are street legal and are alot brighter than I had anticipated. Im also considering the idea of putting Hella 500s on the front teamed up with the OEM foglights.

I like the look of the black steelies as well....good think my dad works for Jegs :D

I apologize I thought you were talking about the corner lights being too dark. Yeah, I have to watch the tinting. Ohio's law is 50% on the fronts...but you can get away with 20-25% so Ive been told by the OSHP (depending on trooper and cause for being pulled over) before they hassle you too much.

Ive been told that Hilliard City Police are really tough on dark tinting, so much so that a local aftermarket store called Pickups Plus stopped tinting windows. sad2.gif

oh
get black steelies, they darken the overall appearance a lot more than you think. I don't have them on my jeep by have some for my rover, you will be shocked how dark it makes everything else look.

Yeah, the first thing to get is black cragar wheels, meaty tires, tinting fronts to match rear, smoked front turn signals. I must say that I hate black tail lights. Red has been my favorite, especially the way it goes on all-black. If you can, tint your tails all red, it will be difficult with the stock ones, but you can buy eurotails from e-bay (like mine) and tint them red. They already come in all-red signals. Just have to tint the lenses.

You also should get all black spare cover. Don't do stupid things like tinting the headlamps or fogs, that looks incredibly cheap. Last thing, move to a state where they have custom plates (red letters on black background), i forgot which state it was.. a few states have it.

I wouldn't completely debadge, I would leave at least 4x4 somewhere. good luck

Here's what my Libby looks like with black steelies. They only cost $75 each.

Of course those are 33" tires on 15" rims. They look good but I can't turn them :D
I was just having fun one day to see what they'd look like. I was surprised they actually fit (sort of).
