I'm fairly new to this forum and am really learning alot about my liberty, and am interested in everyones opinion. So after searching the general disscussions, I see people talking about Seafoam, I have always used BG44K. Whats the difference, is one better than the other?

Both are about the same, both are from a well established companies. They are both just cleaners, though the SeaFoam can be added to the engine oil to clean the crankcase, the BG is just for cleaning the fuel system and combustion chambers. They will not increase mpg's,they will help get back lost mpg's with age and miles on a engine.I used the BG stuff when working at a dealer, good stuff.Have used SeaFoam for years, and so has my father, good stuff to.Both are some of the best fuel system cleaners out there along with Lucas products.

I have used both before and had the same results....the only difference is price...BG44K is around $20 and can be hard to find locally, while Seafoam can be found for about $6 if I remember correctly, but can be found at just about any auto parts store.

I cleaned out the KJ with Seafoam just the other day. Ran it through the TB as it stated on the back of the can. Took my time and used the appropriate amount. Came back about 25-30 minutes, started her up, and some nice white smoke came out for only a few seconds. You could also smell the fumes. It seems to run better and less engine vibration.

I thought you were supposed to do that with the engine running?
