Hi Jeepers,

Before the pandemic I replaced the plastic windshield washer jets on the hood because they had gotten brittle and broken. I haven’t driven much since then so it hasn’t made me crazy yet, but the washer fluid is aimed all wrong. Can these things be re-aimed? (Note, the replacements are from Napa and not Mopar.)

And yup, Jeepy is in need of a wash. ;)

They seem to be in a fixed position. What bugs me is when they get plugged with crud.
I've resorted to using a sewing needle to clean things out a bit.

The Mopar ones can be cleaned out with a sewing needle...done this a few times!

The Mopar nozzles can also be moved around to improve the aim of the water jet but do not use a brittle sewing needle as it could break off...use a pin which will bend but not break off!;)

Hmmm, maybe I’ll try to give these a little tweak with a pin. If I break them, I’ll replace with Mopar this time. It’s almost never worth buying aftermarket with these Jeeps. (Even if you get Mopar from a junkyard it is usually better.)

I know that with the KJs you can adjust the nozzles up/down/sideways.

I do not know if the KK can do this though!

Have you thrown your original squirters away?

Yeah, I tossed them. The bottoms where the hose attach under the hood got brittle and broke off.

I took this photo before I threw them away. But I can’t see the squirter part to be able to compare. I think they were similar in looks to the new ones.

I have some orange Rainex washer fluid for winter, but still using up the blue stuff in the tank. At least now it actually squirts on the windshield! ;)

In case anyone needs it later, the KK washer nozzle part number is: 55157319AA.
