Actual Lift Amount - Lets Compare Fender Heights

Lets all measure our true lifted (or un-lifted) heights. I have a couple of pics below showing how you need to measure so that we are comparing apples to apples. List your year, type of lift, miles on current suspension setup, and front and rear fender heights. List right and left also if they happen to differ more than 1/4". I'd like to see the measurements for as many stock un-lifted KJs too with the least amount of miles so we can help people in the future to tell if/how much their stock springs are sagging. I would also like to see the height from those of you that are SFA'ed. (So the rest of us can be jealous).

2007 Sport
Daystar 2.5" Lift plus 3/8" Clevis
35k miles on Jeep, 15k miles on the lift
Stock Springs
Stock Bumper
Front Fender Height: 22.25
Rear Fender Height: 21.25

My fenders measured this the day after I installed the lift and have not dropped any... YET. 8)

Also, no need to list tire and wheel size. It is irrelevant for this measurement. This just measures the suspension height and it will be the same whether you have stock wheels and tires, or if you stuff 35's under there.

Measure the distance from the center of the wheel hub to the bottom of the fender flare.

Take the measurement at the bottom of the rounded outer edge of the fender flare. The green line in the pic shows where to take the measurement. The fenders bevel down as they go in closer to the inner fender well. So, if we all just measure to the spot I marked in green in the pic, we will have an even comparison. In this picture, it measures 22.25"

This is the stock suspension/what it left the Chrysler factory with.

It will be interesting to see the "After" with the Frankenlift and 245-75-16 inch tires

haha....I just answered your post over on LOST.......

Mine is 18 1/2 front and rear but my fenders bevel down about an inch on the inside so I think 17 1/2" in reality.

I am running 235/65/17 Hercules Terra Track A/T's on the OEM 17' WHEELS.

Oh, BTW, I was at a shopping centre today and was talking to an old man with a brand spanking new 2007 Limited Liberty with all of 9316.4 KM on the clock and and asked him if I could take some measurements for his suspension.
He asked why and when I told him, he immediately logged onto this forum via wireless connectivity and said he had no idea that there was such a community for Jeep Liberty's!
Both front wheels?
19 and 1/32 inches.
Same for the rear.
No lift yet, then showed me a picture of his 2000 Cherokee sitting on 33 inch tires with his own home made goodies!
Nice F CKIN truck!
His wife stays home while him and his best friend (He's 73 and his friend is 77 years old!)
Go out wheelin' and teach young punks how to drive off road!

KJ has over 125,000 uncorrected miles on it,
installed lift at about 40,000 miles.
With corrected miles lift has really about 93,500 miles on it

OME Heavy Duty springs
Rancho shocks front and rear
RRO type top plate
and a "few" conduit nuts,
springs are starting to sag from miles and ARB bumper hanging out there for all the miles the lift has been on

but
right front 22 3/4
left front 22 1/2
right rear 21 7/8
left rear 21/3/4

was a little over a 1/2 inch higher in the front but the CVs were not happy at all, so dropped it back down

21,5" all four corners. (OME 927/948, koni and rancho, rusty+clevis)

That's excellent, I have a two inch spacer lift with a 1/8 inch top spacer and only get 20.5 at each corner. The OME only gets you 1.5 so your getting 1.5 inches from the the clevis and rusty's.

She's a bit uneven eesh. not as severe from ground up tho.

Ryan09 after 50k more miles you sag about .25 inches in the front and almost an inch in the back from me

Dave you seem to be sagging a bit because you have bigger tires yet ur 40k less miles than me...but i guess tires wont change the center to fender point will they...

wjkj has .75"-1" sag on me with similar mileage (8k less)

Mangate has 30k less and similar sag give or take .25" hrm

Someone make me a curve graph damn it. lol

seeing everyone else's data, i think it's obvious that my shocks and struts are shot and i need to replace them. OME's/Ranchos will have to do *nod*

Got some actual measurements from mine tonight.

Front is 28" center of hub to bottom of flare
Rear is at the moment still at 22 5/8"

Thats 9333 Km/ 5799.257.34 miles later!
With the Frankenlift/clevis lift installed {Including 2 rear ISO's per side in the rear.
These are the stats.
Drivers side front 23.5 inches
Drivers side rear 22.5 inches
Passengers front 23.5 inches
Passengers rear 22.5 inches

Thats 5.5 inches deferents!
After machining 3/8 {0.375 inch = 9.525 millimeter*} off of the inner CV Joints, with NO complaints(Yet) from the inner CV Joints.
The ride is very smooth and ultra firm. I feel like I'm driving a new vehicle!
Instead of hitting an undulation in the road surface or one off road like I did with the Factory suspension, now our KJ just "Trucks" over it without a hick-up or the feel of the front coil springs "Stacking"
This Frankenlift is F cking awesome!

My skids are still on back order for some reason, so that will be later to come!

*OK, so I machined an add "C" hair or two... I have an extra 4 sets of inner CV Joints to play with!
So If I Ef a pair up... OH WELL!

The only thing that has Jen concerned is the noise of the front coil springs "Breaking in"!
A little bit of groaning never hurt a virgin... 4X4 vehicle one bit!
