I just got this reply from daystar:

You need to use kit number KJ09123BK kit. It is a 1.5" front and 2"
rear. You can't put any tall than 1.5" on the front of that year
Liberty.

Whats up with that, anyone have any thing on this?

I've got 92000 on my Libby and she looks and drives like she just came from the dealer. No sagging whatsoever (measurements wise). I don't think I have to change the springs, but it will be checked again this month (We have to be inspected every year here)...I read that the Libby has many issues, I haven't really had anything aside from recall items. She runs like a top, gets 17MPG and looks new with barely a scuff on her. She is garaged and gets regular maintenance (I'm a bit OCD with my vehicles).

Ok, Lets say that I change my springs, If I buy a coil over kit what else will need to be done aside from installation?

If you bought your KJ new back in '02 the suspension has been slowly over the last 7 years started to sag and wear out and you would never feel the very slight difference. Also if you have a pre-lowered KJ and your basing your measurements off a newer KJ then you have sagged over 3/4".

If you buy spring, then you need:

4 springs OME front/rear
4 shocks OME or Rancho's

That's it!! That's all I have with no issues, no mods, no problem!

Well then you are looking at tires because the stockers will look so tiny under that lift.

I have already upgraded the tires to 245/70/16, the only time I get any rub is whenI am backing out at a hard angle to the left. Ok, so it looks like springs and shocks would be the way to go. Might as well replace if they are or have gone bad. Then I'm back to 500+ I was trying to do this on the cheap. but what the hell she's only got 92000 on her and I'm sure she's got another 100000 left. I'll go look for the OME stuff! But I think I'm going to get sticker shock! If its more than 500 my wifes going to SH*T~

Geez most of you are super cheap.Have you checked out the prices on a good lift(and I mean a good lift not some incomplete crap spacer lift) for any other vehicle? I spent $1200 alone on my new control arms,no other parts just the control arms alone.

I don't have that kind of cake laying around. Plus, I'm saving my pennies for my New X unlimited. When I get that then the Libby will probably never see off road again. But the wife and I still like the lifted look.

If I were to get the spring lit will I need to change my CA's as well?

Probably not, most people are ok with just the springs/shocks. I think tjkj was talkin' about his SFA swap he's doing on his KJ.

Edit: Just re-read that post...sorry.

You are so correct!
Just my four piston calipers for my 1976 Mini set back $1295.00 U.S.!

Then theres the sway bars, coil over shocks, etc. etc.:D
I see lift kits for full size Dodge Rams selling for $12000+, so, I figure for what I'm paying for my lift, A arms, it's good value.
Hell, just OME coil springs and struts/shocks for a KJ here in B.C. will set you back $1400.00 and another $600.00 to have it all installed! Oh, and doesn't include new A arms!
