Well he wins bragging rights on being right.

This only proves that not every diagnostic test is conclusive. It takes diagnostic equipment used correctly and some thought to correctly eliminate a fault.

I think there were two problems with the initial diagnostic. First, anybody who works in the auto store is allowed to use the testers. They think it's fail safe so no knowledge of batteries or possibly even cars is required to "diagnose" a problem. Second, I honestly think that because I had been running the jeep all day and had the battery fully charged it gave a false positive reading on diagnostic sheet. That's why I made sure not to charge the battery before I went the second time and turned the engine off and back on enough times to get it dead. That, btw, only took two cranks, not much work to kill a battery.

Yes exactly, like knowing she was in an accident and putting 2 and 2 together. I would say the accident damaged the battery internally. It happened to me once too; not an accident but I was messing around on a secluded gravel road that had a pretty good bump up to the paved road at the end. I hit that really hard one time and arrived home shortly after. I went out to start it back up and click, click,click... you know the rest of the story.

Mr. Darcy lives on!!!!
