After looking through this forum for a few days I think I have pretty much narrowed down what I’m going to use to lift my son’s ‘05 renegade. I was thinking of going with the the Tom Mudd / JBA econo lift. But my deal is that I’m here in middle ga, my son is just wanting to go off some dirt roads and into the woods to go hunting. Also maybe just a few redneck hick trail rides with his buddies. Everything in middle GA is relatively flat, we just don’t need a whole lot of flex, he is never going to take this into some rocky terrain and go rock crawling. With all of that being said I want to take your suggestions, and of course like everyone I want to get maximum lift without getting anything unnecessary for all of the wheel travel that I feel I don’t need (I’m no expert). I was going to go:
***FRONT; (all from JBA)
•927
•1/4 top plate
•1/4 Clevis spacer
•Stock Bilsteins
(upper ball joints are shot so I have moog uca coming as well as lower ball joints, felt the JBA uca were overkill for me but maybe I’m wrong)
***REAR;
•948
•1 upper isolator per side
•‘94 dodge Dakota crew cab Bilstein shocks
Can I go with a thicker top spacer and clevis spacer on the front (I have stock front bumper and everything now) since I will not be “flexing” so much,and if so will I need to add more rear isolators. I want to sit level front and rear. Also if it would net me significantly more lift I would be willing to spend the price up to the $1,400 range that the TM Econo lift would cost me. I really like the silver look of the Bilstein 24-185660 for the old Jeep Wrangler and i would go with that if anyone knows of a front Bilstein to match the color? Thanks y’all
