I found this company called Axion Custom Parts based in Greece that apparently makes sliders and front skid plates and a few other accessories for our KJs. Has anyone here had any experience with them? If so, are there parts built well? Thanks

Nice to see someone making bits for KJ & KKs again. Not used them but the pictures look nice.

Agreed. Pix look good. And nice to see our forgotten jeeps getting some love. But shipping is crazy.
Yes, but if the quality is good and the overall price is less than RRO, it may be a good option. I’m really considering the sliders since it seems like only RRO makes them for our rigs.

I have bought a couple small items from them with no issues. They are usually pretty quick to reply to any questions too. But yes everything is shipping from Greece so costs a bit to the U.S.

Are you still happy with your axion parts?

I have their front skid plate (under the radiator and winch), winch plate and rock rails. Pricing was absolutely competitive including freight as there are international shipping treaties with lot's of places, including Greece. As with every thing, do any cost comparisons including shipping. I am very happy with everything they put together. Great communication and they figured out a way to make their front skid plate fit with a little bit of fabrication, having to cut it to fit with the Skid Row plate already under the engine. Lot's of pictures back and forth and measuring everything three or four times first.

As for the rock rails, folks on here love to debate setups. :) Mine are bolted. They are bolted only to the sub-frame, avoiding potential issues with flex between the body and the sub-frame. I think bolts can be as strong as welds. There's nothing bolted through the pinch weld under the doors. In addition for your consideration, welds crack, bolts bend. A nice job on the powder coat. They look great and I'm very pleased with the workmanship, build quality and communication. You're dealing directly with the owners as previously pointed out, not someone who's job it is to answer the phone and has no clue to the nuances or our concerns regarding an installation (or even drives one of these!)
