Hi everybody.
I had issues with automatic transmission, sometimes jerks on shifting, late shifting, blowing dipstick out, etc. Former owner said that he did transmission service and fluid on dipstick was obviously new. I decided to do service again and I found out that filters inside are new, but in sump filter there was no dirt at all. I opened small filter with angle grinder and it was also new inside...... I also cleaned breather hose.

After service it started to work perfect, shifted like never before. It worked for around 600 miles. But few days ago it started again to blow dipstick out and to have some jerks and shifts later.
Diagnostics shows temperature sensor intermittent.
It seems like fluid doesn't have free flow trough whole system?
Did anyone had similar issue?

With the engine running and the car in neutral pull the dip stick out and look at the level, also what does the fluid look like? Pink, brown, bubbles, milky etc.

What year is your 2.8 CRD? Wondering if this is a common issue for certain model years?

It sounds more like valves and pump issues.... Unfortunately, it's all electric control....

Have you scanned the computer?

Any chance your in New England?

No, I am in Europe.
So far I found out that there was not enough fluid in transmission, I toped it, reset computer and it is working fine. We will see......
