Transfer Case for manual the same as automatic?

Does the transfer case off of an automatic KJ bolt on to a six speed manual transmission? I’m looking at trying to take my 2WD TO 4WD.

yes, no, and it's complicated.
yes... NP231, NP241, and NP242 can be bolted up.
HOWEVER... 2WD manuals have a different tail snout than the 4WD equipped manuals. so you'll need that very specific part.
there's also the fact the NP241 is a more stout transfer case than the other two, to supposedly handle the higher shock loading of a manual.

there's a TON of threads here about it. basically, you really need a complete donor jeep to pull all the needed bits from to make it work.

The tcases all swap, but the transmission needs to be a 4wd type.
