Transferring OCM/Airbag Hardware

It looks as though it may be incredibly easy to transfer over the Occupant Classification Module (OCM), weight bladder and sensor, and other hoorah from the 05 manual seat to the 02 pwr/htd seat on the passenger.

Looking thru both service manuals, exploded parts drawings, and comparing part numbers, it appears that except for the addition of "bedsprings" and the metal bracket for the OCM, the seat cushion frame on the 05 manual seat is identical to the seat cushion frame on the 02 power seat.

It may be a simple as removing the seat cushion and frame from the 05 seat, with the OCM and all it's associated hardware still intact, then removing the 05 cushion and cover, installing the 02 leather cover and cushion on the 05 cushion frame, then installing this hybrid cushion assembly on the 02 power seat. I'm going to leave the 05 10 pin black connector, with the 3 wires for the OCM, as is and route the wires for the 02 seat power and heat separately - I don't want to tempt fate any more than necessary.;)

One other item - the 05 DOES NOT have a seatbelt switch in the seatbelt buckle on the passenger seat - it uses a tension sensor that is in the anchor buckle on the outboard side of the seat, and is connected into the OCM module. The seatbelt switch on an 02 or 03 passenger seat shouldn't be connected to anything in an 05, and you have to use the 05 passenger seatbelt, with the tension sensor connected to the OCM, for the OCM and passenger airbag to work correctly.

@KJowner hello big boss from UK. Can you help me on this regarding electric wiring from 1 on my KJ to 2 on the new electrical . Do you have diagram pic with mentionned connectors 312 & 314 for example ?

I have the 06 manual and here is what it says:

Connector 312 (body side) runs over to passenger seat
Connector 314 is the heated seat connector under the passenger seat, the one that connects to the seat, from the body.

Connector 312 feeding to Connector 314
Pin 1 - Blank
Pin 2 - LG/GY - Heated seat temperature sensor signal to Pin 2 on Connector 314
Pin 3 - PK/YL - Passenger Heated Seat Feed to Pin 3 On Connector 314
Pin 4 - GY/PK - Fuse 25 - to Pin 4 on Connector 314
Pin 5 - RD - Fuse 30 - Does not feed to Connector 314
Pin 6 - LG/TN - Passenger Heated Seat Temp. Sensor Ground to Pin 6 on Connector 314
Pin 7 - TN/LB - Right seat heater switch mux to Pin 7 on connector 314
Pin 8 - TN/LB - Right seat low heat LED driver to Pin 8 on connector 314
Pin 9 - TN/WT - Right seat high heat LED driver to Pin 9 on connector 314
Pin 10 - Blank

Ground comes from Connector 311(lt grey plug) on the drivers side pin #4
Ground comes from Connector 313(blk plug) on passenger side pin #8

Edit - Not sure what the Tan/Orange is on yours, does it run to anything on the seat side of the connector?
