Hello my 2005 jeep liberty crd the rear window opens with the key fob but not the rear door hatch handle anymore. Any ideas where to start looking as to why. I asked this question a while back but never got to fixing the problem.

Yes, mine did this too, there's a microswitch on the latch that triggers the glass. You are lucky, mine decided to pop open when I was driving in cold wet weather and then wouldn't stay shut until I removed the rear trim and unplugged it.

I was able to remove the pull handle on the door. One of the wires corroded off the contact point so I clipped/ cleaned the end and soldered it back in place. Took about an hour and solved the issue.

Yes, that isbhow it appears to work. Open the door and remove the interior plastic panel. I took the entire thing off instead of the little cut out. Remove a couple of bolts (or nuts...it has been a while) from the interior of the door to permit the handle to rock outward. On the back you can see the connector. Not a lot of slack in the wires.
