I'm not intending this to be anything other than a warning about a near-useless product being sold for Libertys/Cherokees.

I ordered new middle fascia for a double-DIN radio to replace the standard radio in my 04 Cherokee. I live in France, it came from the States. Good enough quality, but the hole for the double-DIN is way too small, and I have fear that enlarging it to suit using a Dremel tool is going to weaken it beyond hope.

The seller was Rio Retail of Saddlebrook NJ, I don't know if they commissioned the design or were just the resellers, I have no beef with their service - but 'caveat emptor'

Frustrating when you buy something and discover its rubbish. Thanks for the heads up.

I want to stress that this is not a complaint about the seller, but the designer. I'll try and chase Rio to get more info

Wrap-up to this.

I managed to make it all fit, with one small embuggerance.

My chosen head unit has a pull-down slot at the bottom for access to the SD card slot, etc. The new fascia stops it pulling open fully, so I'll have to be overly careful putting SD cards in. I'm happy to say that this is down to my choice of unit.

BUT - I've had to omit the plastic trim around the head unit, so it doesn't look totally finished.
