Hi, looking for a bit of indulgence here..

someone herein posted that <<
I had the same problem with my KJ so I pulled off the tailgate cover so I could get a better look at the locking mechanism.
When you're looking at the locking mechanism from inside the tailgate cover side you will see 2 wiring plugs attached. The one on the left only controls the letting go of the liftglass.
The one on the right plugs directly into the microswitch/sensor that is causing the interior lights to stay on and glass open to display on the dash. Disconnect the plug and underneath where you disconnected it you will see a T15 screw holding the microswitch/sensor to the whole locking mechanism. Undo the screw and you can now replace the microswitch.
I only disabled my switch for the moment by removing the little blue rubber knob which was already half hanging>>

Can some kind person give me the part number for the microswitch/sensor please - or any reference to an identical part?

Secondly, there is a microswitch of some sort on the autobox which sends a signal to the dash that says 'part time'. Apparently this is a usual failure. Can someone give me the part number for this microswitch please?

Thirdly, my rear wiper is U/S - can anyone give me a lead for a GOOD pattern replacement.

TIA

THe number matches the mopar website. Should be a fit -
Cautions - make sure it comes with seal / oring that fits over the threaded part to seal the switch to the housing -

Also - sometimes - these non-mopar switches are a bit sketchy. Jeeps overall are finicky electrical messes and for major sensors, we usually recommend OEM (mopar) parts - think engine sensors, coils, MAF / CAM / Crank
THis should be a good match to get you going.

Again, thanks for the info; a problem is that I'm in That France, and shipping costs may be prohibitive. I'll see if it's viable.

Later - yes, as I thought, it will only let me put the USA as my country, so I can't even see how much it would be to ship.

I guess I'll be taking a punt on the non-OEM jobbie that I found above.

No worries - just pointing out that some electrical bits are more 'mission critical' than others. You should be fine with this.

Before you replace the Transfer case switch, check the bushing on the lever. The bushing wears out and the lever has slop which may not contact the switch
