    I recently found my hose to be split. Do you need the specific replacement part? Or could you just the correct diameter vac tubing from an auto parts store?

    I took the shaft off yesterday and had a look at it. Seems to me like I maybe ran it in 4H too long on dry pavement and overheated the CV. This caused the grease to "melt" and come out. Also, the joint doesn't have the full range of movement that it did when it was first installed. I believe...

    I just looked underneath and saw all the new grease I put in dripping off the cross bar (beam, whatever its called) right below the transfer case. I wonder what I screwed up? I won't be able to do anything more until tomorrow......
