semi-related... friend came over today and he played chase car while I towed the unloaded trailer down the road, to see if he could discern if one specific wheel was causing the vibrations on the trailer. the answer was a resounding YES. so now I gotta figure out what on that corner is causing...- sota

so, yea, the immediate jeep problem is solved. and apparently, i'm a *******. pulled it in the garage, put it in the air, prepped to start yanking the driver's axle, and possibly the diff. go to take the driver's front wheel off and wtf? these lugs are loose. I mean LOOSE loose. All 5 were...- sota

part of the plan is, to put in the 3.73s, see what they affect in terms of performance and fuel economy, towing "effort", and give me the option to go DTT (front, rear, or even both) before I do a potential gear change to 4.10s. note, the DTT for the 3.55 is not compatible with 3.73 or 4.10...- sota

well that didn't work. tried to drive it tonight. didn't even get out of the driveway and it's thump thump thumping just as loudly. will pull the front driveshaft hopefully tomorrow, and re-test. that would mean the only thing spinning the diff is the left front wheel. also, anyone know the...- sota

wait until the backing plates fail. Also, think I finally have the answer with my weirdness. tried swapping out B2S1... didn't solve the problem. finally started looking at a different set of O2 parameters (O2 Volts (0-1), instead of O2 Sensor Volts), and can now see that B2S2 is biased lean by...- sota

Well the Jeep continues to be a bit of a pain in the ass lately. I'm not sure yet, but changing the upstream sensor has apparently cured the reporting lean condition. When I data log that sensor it appeared to be switching appropriately. That was a week ago. Now, I took it out for a drive today...- sota

well I got B2S1 O2 replaced. old one was siezed and buggered up the threads, but I got the "replacement" installed regardless. going to need to buy an O2 tap I guess, for future use. scan tool is making happy graphs now, although I did briefly get a P0157 Code: Oxygen Sensor Circuit Low Voltage...- sota

so the other night the right rear suddenly started making a death noise. turns out the sole rivet still holding the backing plate on, let go. parking brake shoes are destroyed. I got the plate booger welded to the housing for now, so at least no more death howling. I'm gonna need to replace...- sota
