no DIY garages around here any more.
lawyers and liability insurance killed them.
in fact, lawyers and liability is killing damn near every biz around here.
got the tow mirrors in. as expected, they don't fit at all.
I can see exactly what needs done, so I contacted Thorn Engineering (dude who makes adapters for various other jeeps to mount these tow mirrors on) to see if he's interested in making the adapters.
Asking here... IF he's interested...
I remember once upon a time, seeing a thread from someone (I think on LOST) that took RAM 2500 tow miirrors and grafted them on. I can't find the article, so I don't know what year(s) were appropriate. I also remember there being some electrical issues (directions didn't match) but I'd be able...
I've thought about going that route, but the aesthetics of them scream "I have no ******* idea what i'm doing".
8.5x20 trailer behind this thing going down the road is already going to look... weird. :D
mind you it'll be empty.
picture of a bud's CRD towing his 26' camper.
For a very long time i've put a single drop of clean engine oil on the threads of the plugs before I install them, and torque to spec.
Haven't had a plug gall up yet. Removal as always been appropriate. Never had any issues or indications of misfires from it.
Also doesn't hurt that i've aligned...

will try and toss the cover on the jeep, but the shovels are on it now and I don't think it'll fit. plus with the expected winds I wouldn't want to risk the shovel rack...
not janky at all, although I'd probably find some other point to ground to on the chassis, and NOT home run back to the battery.
I fought for months with the A/C not working in my mom's PT Cruiser. turned out the ground for pressure switch loop was bad, somehow. I just snipped it and ground...
you might also need someone with a better scan tool to talk it the SKIM/SKREEM module and see if it has any diagnostic codes stored.
otherwise try this...
STEP 1
Open the driver's side door. Close the other doors.
STEP 2
Press the power door-lock switch on the keyless entry fob.
STEP 3...
yes. but especially with these small displacement high output engines, I have questions and concerns about long term longevity. that 5.9L will run until the end of time with not much more than the basics of maintenance. what will these new engines be like in 100k, 200k, miles? will they get...
