Bit a bullet and rented a bay at the local DIY Garage to get those Odyssey AGM batteries in. Set me back 70$ for an hour and a half, but it was 80F in there. Worth it. I’ll install silicone gaskets where applicable and always use ABS and/or BUNA washers to prevent galvanic corrosion for dissimilar metals. (Nylon absorbs water and swells.) Sciatica on both sides has flared up due to extreme winter weather. Used the VA's free acupuncture sub contractor out of desperation. That woo-woo magic stuff don't fly with me, but I can't take any pain pills. The little Chinese wizard took pity on me and treated all my arthritis too. ****** me...- Johnny O

POR-15 has an acid etch metal prep, which is then primed with their excellent zinc deposit primer. Follow with the color of POR-15 of choice and you get the usual virtually indestructible coating. Yep. I'm a lab rat by trade so PPE is mandatory. I'm good up to Class 3 for chemicals and Class 4 for biologicals. In this case I've got raw aluminum that needs to be black. Eventually I will have steel fenders and bumpers that need to have coatings match. Sure I could have everything powder...- Johnny O

Horn died. Layers of frozen road slush took its toll. Sounded like baby goat with a streptococcus infection anyway. Searching for a 12v horn with some testicular fortitude that doesn't require compressed air or spin-up time as the "short beep" has its uses.- Johnny O

Suspension Sag Measurements
According to Jeep, they claim the Rubicon package suspension is a "...factory 2" lift..." on the JLs. Then as I study more, it appears the Sahara package has the same suspension with different travel. After communicating with ARB on the subject, they claim their "two inch" lift kit for Wranglers... -

Been occupied with bad weather. I seem to remember reading the Rubicon sits higher stock than the Sahara package by an inch or so…but will have to dig through my notebook on lunch tomorrow and get the tape measure out. -

yep! got a Mopar external snorkel sittin’ here waiting for installation. Not impressed with the under hood snorkels after more research . ultimately skipped the Genesis system though for the solar system from Cascadia as described elsewhere. -

Swapped out the factory original AGMs to the Far superior (for my application) Odyssey performance AGMs. Can literally hear the difference. Already had Khan running so smoothly it was hard to tell if it was running. Now it is smooth as silk.- Johnny O

When you get the ground free make sure to clean everything with EtOH to get the kroil residue off, otherwise it will just keep on dissolving corrosion as it forms and F up the ground with build up. If by some miracle Kroil doesn’t work, try FreeAll.- Johnny O
