I drove to my continuing ed class yesterday, and it was bitter cold and windy. Maybe -25F before wind chill, in the morning. It warmed up to -2F. Many cars/trucks would not start after the 8 hour class, but mine fired right up!
I haven’t even seen my jeep today. I have been getting a ride for work, lately.. It’s been that way since early December. I’ve filled up three times since December 1st, and the third was on Friday. It seems to be appreciating the break.
Fluids are changed. The MTF was pretty shiny! It was probably liquid synchronizers. T-case fluid came out clean. The trans shifts a lot more smoothly, now.
When I ordered the passenger side axle stub, it had actually ejected itself from the package at some point in transit. So at least you got the part? :D
Update… You know that button by the ignition that you have to press to turn your key to remove? Well, it self disabled itself the other day. Something broke, and now I don’t have to press it anymore ♂️
It sure did! I have a steel trailer with a fold up ramp, but the grates are spaced out a lot more. It pulls very easily.
I actually towed my old XJ on a dolly with my Liberty a few years ago. I got like 14.5mpg out of the deal ♂️
