    New to Jeeps

You might like it until you have to replace upstream oxygen sensors My 06 Renegade is blue and likely to be missing drivers side fog light. Has 185k on it. The 2006 might frustrate a kid as it has advanced traction control so no burnouts but it is fairly safe cornering in snow

Wearing out rear pads over fronts.

My 2006 does this, if one rear wheel slips enough the brake engages. I have only had it happen in snow. If my back end slides sideways in snow it engages a front brake to stop the slide

    DRLs

I think you will have issues if you put in the fuse and relay, the US models don't shut off the DRLs if I remember correctly The DRLs went on the instant I put in the relay and I had to pull the relay to shut them off, it is just a generic 4 post relay and any auto parts store should have them

What did you do to your jeep today?

Finally got the upstream drivers side oxygen sensor replaced, seems the easy way is to remove the sensor and find the harness behind the middle of the motor and pull it up through. The oxygen sensor harness comes out of the big harness by the firewall a couple inches down

What did you do to your jeep today?

I put a new serpentine belt on the 06 Renegade at 184001 miles. I have owned it since 89000 and finally replaced it and it could have gone longer

What did you do to your jeep today?

That looks bad, I replaced the entire caliper on mine because the pin was frozen, tried a big hammer and a wrench before giving up on it

What did you do to your jeep today?

I ran my old chevy truck with non LT tires on the front, not a real issue unless you are hauling heavy loads or have a diesel

TCS and ESP/BAS light on after suspension work

Might want to trace the wires and see if one isn't plugged in. I changed my own on my KJ without any issues and I am not certified

Fuel Pump Recommendation for a 2004 KJ 3.7

It was actually a Delphi unit Since yours is a 2004 the part number is different from my 2006. I might be replacing mine again since it is close to 100k on it. I had the electric fuel pump on my outboard motor lock up after 10 years rockauto.com showed 1 Delphi pump in stock for the 2004...

    AC Compressor Intermittent Spinning

Only about the outside 1/4 of the pulley should turn all the time, when the clutch engages, the inner part should spin also. I just looked at my 2006

    Replacing upper control arms

You will need a 18mm deep socket the bolt head has a flag on it so you don't need 2 wrenches. Just hope none of the bolts are rusted like my rear drivers side was as I had to cut that one out

What did you do to your jeep today?

I finally got my drivers side UCA replaced, took about an hour with a small hacksaw and a sawzall with carbide blades to get the rear bolt cut off. After getting it cut out it looked like the bolt on the rear was a press fit and then rusted on the bolt head side. The passenger side was really...

    Lower ball joint

It isn't terrible to remove with a u joint/ball joint tool, a bit of a pain to press the new one in with the standard tool due to the length of the new ball joint. There are videos around. Mine broke on my 2006 back in October and I replaced it in my driveway. If the threaded part of the ball...
