Drove it to HF (yes, I sure did!) and picked up one of these bad boys:
46 in. 9 Drawer Mobile Storage Cabinet with Solid Wood Top, Black
I built a nice workbench a year or so ago and this will be a nice complement to it.
The people at HF did not think it would fit. I told them that I had...
Just replaced the one I did eight years ago. (47,000 miles on the Jeep in that time.) I can confirm it is 34 mm. This was only the second time I've had it out of the toolbox! :D
Replaced my PCV Valve. I was going to do the spark plugs as well but for some reason I am getting tired very easily as of late.
I had a write-up from eight years ago which explains why my KJ is different than most other KJ's:
HOW TO: Replace the PCV Valve on (Some) 2007 and up Jeep Liberty...
Yet another of my attempts at humor gone wrong. :p
The picture I posted was of my new running boards. If I DID post a picture of the armor and it was a side view of the Jeep how would anyone know?
(I am still hunting down bolts, etc.)
Here are three more of the running boards...
I went the budget route this time:

The old one was much heavier and sturdier. The new one weighs only 38 pounds, and while I wouldn't say it is flimsy it is not the tank the old one was. I am operating off the...
And this arrived today. If you look close, there is a fill hole AND a drain hole. The drain hole plug has a magnetic rod to catch floating metal flakes. I also have a new Lubelocker gasket which I should no longer have to replace as I won't need to pop the cover to drain the old gear oil.
Replaced the roof rack. The old one had rusted out in places. It gave me ten good years and I am not complaining.
I snapped a few pictures of the Jeep with no roof rack, as I will probably not see that again for another ten years:
Oh, and today I took the roof rack off and assembled its replacement. Need a couple new u-bolts to get the new one mounted. We need rain and it is (finally!) expected tomorrow, but hopefully gets here later in the day so I can finish this off in the sunshine.
Not yet. I'd like to but am not sure how to proceed. I think the days of finding a model with the right gearing and doing an axle swap are mostly behind us now.
Of course, I thought finding armor that wasn't beat to crap at this point would be difficult but then a good friend lent a hand...
I have one of these arriving in a day or three:

I really need to have my head examined. I'd ask you folks to stage an intervention for me but most of you are as sick as I am... :p
