Could be simply too much camber setting but also could be worn parts or bushings. Time to look for excessive play in any and all front end suspension components or have a reputable or competent tire alignment shop check for suspension component wear and set alignment at the same time. 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD Won't Start - At first no hot start...now no start at all
Sorry I have no idea if that red wire was put in by someone for an aftermarket product that simply may not be there anymore, or if it is part of the OEM wiring. If it IS part of the OEM wiring, then it being cut could very well be the cause of at least part of your ECU problems. If it is DIY...- seafish

Finally had time to put the new AC accumulator/drier, orifice line and condensor/AT cooler in. Most importantly, at least for us USA based "parts starved" KJ owners, I confirmed that Nissens is making a decent quality, corrosion protected, integrated AC condensor / AT cooler that is an exact...- seafish

06 kj rear brake lights issue
In fact ALL lightbulbs have a definite lifespan and the same type of bulb, running for the same amount of time (every time you step on the brakes) can and do burn out ROUGHLY around the same time, often within a matter of days or weeks of each other. Help! My 03 Jeep Liberty’s battery died and Sepentine belt came off.
While its certainly possible that ONLY the water pump bearing has gone bad causing the belt to jump, depending on how many miles are on the tensioner and other pullies, you REALLY need to check them all carefully for any bearing play and looseness, as well roughness or strange noise. The new AC condensor, accumulator/drier and orifice line are coming in later this week, so Im waiting to refill the coolant system since I'll have to pull the overflow tank from the firewall in order to fit the accumulator and swap the orifice line. Added a patch of heat shield on the side of the air box and some 1" split wire loom on all of the coolant hoses even though they were barely touching each other. Mostly did it for the looks... :rolleyes: Then reinstalled the airbox, changed the fuel filter and hooked up the battery and...- seafish

I'll take your word for it since I drive a KJ CRD That said, the OEM part being shipped in bag doesn't change the fact that MANY different wrong parts that still fit will come in a box and are cheap enough to be "bad" right out of the box...or bag or whatever they are shipped in. So many cheap parts out here nowadays that it could also be a bad thermostat right out of the box...might be a good time to pull and check it in a pan of water with a thermometer...should start opening at the rated temp and then completely open about 10° above that.- seafish

Power steering whine?
Y Ya... thats definitely important in a closed pressure system thats leaking. I guess one could even think of the PS pump whine as a factory installed warning alert that the fluid is getting low?? :rolleyes:- seafish

Not sure what year you have, but my 2005 CRD has Hot and Cold with BOTH max and min levels embossed on the PS reservoir... PS pump whining can certainly be an indicator of low fluid so you'd best check again. The fact that the whine started when the truck was on a incline adds credence to that...- seafish
